How to Use Tweezer Bottom and Top

The tweezers pattern is a minor trend reversal pattern consisting of two candlesticks with approximately the same high or the same low or some other variation. This is the only candlestick pattern where the highest level or the lowest level is the most (more) important factor of the real body or candle shape and is one of the powerful ways that traders can do to detect this reversal by using the top and bottom tweezer candlestick pattern.

Tweezer bottom is a bullish reversal pattern group consisting of two candles preceded by a downtrend pattern. While the twezeer top is included in the category of bearish reversal pattern which is preceded by an uptrend pattern.

Tweezers should be distinguished in daily, intraday and weekly or long charts. This difference is caused by the lack of strength in the price of the same high or low in two daily or intraday sessions.

A tweezer top occurs when the bullish move has formed a higher candle, and the closing price is close to the high (bullish sign). But on a candle with a reversal pattern.

Conversely, the tweezer bottom pattern appears in a downtrend and has an impact on reversing the direction of the downtrend and has an impact on reversing the direction of the trend to become bullish or often called a bullish reversal. The first candlestick in the tweezer bottom pattern should be a bearish candlestick with a large real body followed by a bullish candlestick with a short real body. The two candles forming the tweezer bottom pattern must have the same high level or the real body must be at the same level. This pattern is more reliable when viewed in the context of a wider price chart (large time frames) with a tweezer bottom pattern appearing at the lowest level (low), or near support or trend lines.
