Inside and Outside Bar Entry Strategies

One trading technique that deserves to be called a million people strategy is price action. This technique is used by almost all traders from beginner to professional level. The reason is, this technique is considered easy to apply and offers good trading accuracy. Price action users will observe candlestick patterns that appear on the chart.

Inside bar is a candle or more with high and low values ​​completely within the previous ranger bar. That is, the inside bar candle is always smaller because the highest value is lower, and the lowest value is higher than the previous candle. In inside bar readings, the largest candle (with the highest high and lowest low) is referred to as the Mother Bar.

The main characteristics of the inside bar are the mother bar candle on the left followed by a small candle on the right. The large candle or mother bar is located on the left followed by a small candle or body candle that does not exceed the size of the first candle or mother candle. This gives an indication that the trend is in consolidation or sideways and gives a sign that a breakout will occur in the nearest future.

In the live market, this pattern may be slightly different but what is important is that the trader recognizes the first and second candles only, therefore the trader will be an indication of which is valid and which is invalid.

Unlike the inside bar, the outside bar is based on position, namely the mother candle on the right. The position of the mother bar on the right is now called the outside bar. The open and closing of this outside bar exceeds the first candle. This indirectly gives the market direction based on the shape of the candle.
